I am on the road to Binghamton, NY, to our grandson Jacob's High School graduation, however we spent 2 days in Cleveland, Ohio, and I can tell you two things. First, Cleveland, Ohio, gets a bad rap from most of the press. Cleveland's Downtown has been revitalized and it's clean and bright and has many attractions. The people are friendly and feel their city gets bad press. LeBron leaving Cleveland didn't help PR here either.
We spent 6 hours visting the ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME and it was a fantastic experience. (As a former DJ 1960-1967.) Spending time exploring that great music starting with exhibits that start with the pioneers like Bill Haley...Buddy Holly...the Beatles, and the new Rollling Stones Exhibit was great. 50 years of Rock by Mick and the guys. Even saw an exhibit by Wisconsin's....LES PAUL with many of his guitars.
THE most emotion for me was THE DICK CLARK EXHIBIT and feature on AMERICAN BANDSTAND...and Dick's comments about what he felt about his place in music history. His last comment after the JFK assination....We will laugh again...We will never be young again. When Dick Clark passed I felt that too.
About Gas Prices.....They have all been higher than Eau Claires current prices....Paid $4.29 in Chicago....Its about $3,70 on average here in New York State. I look forward to graduation time at CHENANGO FORKS HIGH...where Grandson Jake is a champion Wrestler.
I will be back on WAYY June 27th, too.....Listening on line...My blood pressure was tested listening to liberal Rep. Dana Wachs. And Daisy, too. So glad Kathy Bernier and Warren Petryk counter his slant.
