    Zhen was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and is currently pursuing a degree in journalism at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He has been involved in amateur radio for a year since he started news reporting for the university's WUEC FM. He will be starting as one of the station's producers in the fall.
