Favre to be Inducted Into Packer Hall of Fame, Number 4 to be Retired

Brett Favre is heading to the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame.

The Packers Hall of Fame Inc. have issued a media advisory relating to a joint announcement regarding Favre on Monday afternoon.  Favre announced on his website he will be inducted into the team's Hall of Fame and his number-four will be retired.  Favre spent 16 of his 20 NFL seasons in Green Bay, winning a Super Bowl in 1997.  He retired in 2008 but later that year decided he still wanted to play.  The Packers had already turned to Aaron Rodgers and ended up trading Favre to the Jets.  After one season in New York, he played two years with the Minnesota Vikings before retiring for good after the 2010 season.  Favre holds many NFL records including most career touchdown passes, passing yards and pass completions.
