8/26 A Very Beary Summertime

Join the Eau Claire Women's Connection at their August Luncheon! There will be Fun facts about teddy bears! 

There will also be a special feature by Karla Kolle from St. Cloud, MN. She is a veteran mover who will describe how our paths can be smooth despite the bumps and road blocks along the way. 

The cost for this event is $14, which is all inclusive.

The Eau Claire Country Club is located at 828 Clubview Lane in Altoona.

8/29 - 9/1 Jim Falls 54th Annual Sturgeon Festival

The Jim Falls 54th Annual Sturgeon Festival runs the weekend of Labor Day, starting Friday August 29th and going through Sunday September 1st. This festival will feature three demolition derbies, tractor pulls, free milk all day Sunday courtesy of AMPI, a big parade and Bingo on Sunday, a raffle ticket drawing on Monday, and music and good food all four days! And of course, the will be other things going on all day long as well!

8/31 St. Stanislaus Church Annual Parish Bazaar and Fall Dinner

Come on out to St. Stanislaus Church's Annual Parish Bazaar and Fall Dinner! There will be a Polka Mass at 10:30 AM, followed by a Chicken and Polish Sausage Dinner from 11 AM until 2 PM. 

$9 for Adults, $9 for Carryouts, Children 10 and under at $5. 

There will also be polka music in the park in the afternoon, and auction, a raffle, games, a fish pond, and a country store.

9/1 Canine Pets Swim for Heros

Labor Day is all about the dogs at Eau Claire's Fairfax Pool! Dogs can swim from noon until 3 to support their heros. Proceeds will benefit the Military Working Dog Tribute at the Higherground, Neillsville.

9/4 Memories in Motion Spaghetti Supper

We're on the move to end Alzheimer's! Come on out to the Memories in Motion Spaghetti Supper and enjoy spaghetti and meatballs, garlic breadsticks, coleslaw, dessert, and beverages. There will also be a bake sale and a raffle taking place that evening.

All of the money raised by this event will go towards The Walk to End Alzheimer's that is held in September.  

The cost for this event is $7 per person.

American Lutheran Homes is Located at 915 E. Elm Ave. in Menomonie, WI.

9/5 - 9/7 Wisconsin Sheep & Wool Festival

Spend the weekend celebrating multi-purpose wool and fiber bearing animals, as well as the renewable products that they provide for us!

There will be over 70 fiber art classes, sheep shows, shearing demonstrations, the Crook & Whistle Dog Trial, newborn lambs, fleece shows and sales, and educational clinics and workshops for any shepherd of any age and any level of experience!

You can also shop in the Country Store, where over 130 Vendors from across the nation offer everything from knitting needles to sheep cheese.

This event will be hosted on the beautiful grounds of Jefferson Fair Park! An easy drive from Madison, Milwaukee, or Chicago!

Kids 8 and under are free. And did we mention that there is free parking too?

YELLOWSTONE ART TRAIL -

The Yellowstone Art Trail is a free self-guided art tour which includes the towns of Cadott, Boyd & Stanley, Wi. Over 20 artists and 13 locations plus historical places of interest and specialty shops featuring locally made products.

9/27 Pledge for Paws Dog Walk

Come out to the annual Pledge for Paws Dog Walk! All proceeds from this event will go to Chippewa Valley Humane Association.

A picnic lunch will be provided for participants. There will also be many door prizes and raffles, and doggie gift bags for our four legged friends and games for pets and owners.

Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 pledge collectors, and gift certificates to anyone who collects $100 or more in pledges.

The cost is $20 per person, or $40 per family. There will be a free t-shirt for to all who pre-register by September 1st. Limit 2 t-shirts per family. $10 for additional shirts.
