All seniors age 55 and better are invited to Learn to Use Website. This will teach participants how to better use the Medicare website - participants must have basic computer skills.

7/30 Wills and Trusts - Which are right for you?

In this presentation, it will be discussed how each method of distributing assets at death, Wills and Trusts, operates in practice and examine some of the factors involved in helping you choose between the two.

8/3 Celebration of Summer Church Picnic

St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Chippewa Falls is hosting a Celebration of Summer Church Picnic! Festivities will include a Chicken Plate, Steak Sandwiches, Beverages, Main Street Pie, Silent Auction, Beef Raffle, 50/50 Raffle, Coin Toss, Cake/Grocery Walk, and Kids Games. Music and dancing will be from 12:30 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. with live music from local talent.

There will also be a sweepstakes for $3,000 in cash prizes! Tickets for the sweepstakes will be $2 each or $3 for 5. The Raffle drawing will be held at 5 P.M.

8/6 ABCD's of Medicare

A 1-hour presentation providing a foundational understanding of the four elements of Medicare. Information will be provided on initial enrollment and additional enrollment periods.

This event is for seniors age 50 or older.

8/7 Chippewa Valley Hospital Golf/ Dinner Benefit

This annual charitable event allows the Hospital and Care Center to purchase equipment to better serve the health care needs of the surrounding community. The entry fee is $60 which includes nine holes, dinner, and prize drawings. Couples can golf for $115.

If you do not wish to golf, you can still register and attend the dinner activities for $45. This includes dinner and prize drawings.

Course events will include longest drive, longest putt, and closest to the pin of designated holes and numerous drawings for all golfers.

The "Peoria System" of scoring will be used to determine net scores. This will offer all golfers a shot at winning!

Golfers will be able to try their luck at winning $7,500 in cash for a Hole-in-One on Hole #7. This event is sponsored in part by Jerry Thompson Insurance Agency. Tractor Central will also be sponsoring the chance to win a John Deere X304 Riding Lawnmower with a 42"Deck for the first Hole-in-One during play on Hole #1.

You can sponsor a hole for $100 plus a prize for the hole, or you may co-sponsor a hole for just $100. Your prize may be awarded to golfers competing towards a pre-determined score on the hole, or through a drawing where all entrants are eligible to win. Corporate sponsorship is also needed for the Mega-Raffle.

All participants will be eligible to win one of the grand prizes. Prizes include Six Club Seat tickets to see the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field on August 28 2014 at 6 PM as they take on the Kansas City Chiefs, courtesy of Heike Pharmacy. Also, $800 in Durand Dollars courtesy of Bauer Built and Security Financial Bank.

8/9 Tenth annual Jesus Style Yard Sale

At this "sale", everything is free! However, there will be a donation box and all proceeds from it will go to the River of Life Children's Home in Romania.

8/10 Peter & Paul Church Annual Bazaar

Peter & Paul Church in Gilman will host its annual bazaar on August 10th. The buffet style dinner will feature oven fried chicken, polish sausage adn sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, green beans, rolls, pies, and more!

The cost is $9 for adults, $4 for children ages 6-12, and children 5 and under are free.

In addition to dinner, there will also be a raffle, and auction, games, bingo, a country store, and a refreshment stand.
