All seniors age 55 and better are invited to Writing for Fun. This group is for people who want to do more than write in their diary. Have fun with limericks, haiku, letter writing and short essays.

All seniors age 55 and better are invited to Learn to Use Medicare.gov Website. This will teach participants how to better use the Medicare website - participants must have basic computer skills.

When: 3rd Wednesday of every month

7/22 Life is What Happens When You're Making Other Plans

Join the Eau Claire Wisconsin Women's Connection at their July Luncheon! Kami Lubinski, an independent Beauty Consultant, will be there to demonstrate makeup application and techniques. Sandy Carlson from Williams Bay Wisconsin will be there to talk about how she stays grounded when life upsets her plans.

7/22 - 8/26 Living Well with Chronic Conditions

This 6-week class helps participants gain control of their lives through manageable action plans and support from peers. It will include dealing with frustration, fatigue, pain and isolation, exercise for maintaining strength, flexibility and endurance, appropriate use of medications, communiucating effectively with family, friends and health professionals, evaluating new treatment options, and healthy eating.

COMMUNITY HYMN SING to be held at CHAPEL OF THE RESURRECTION

A community hymn sing will be hosted in the Chapel of the Resurrection at Chippewa Manor - 222 Chapman Rd., Chippewa Falls, WI.

This event is free and open to the public.   It features a selection of old-time favorites, congregational singing and special music by local singers.

Stanley Lion's 40th Annual Watermelon Festival - July 27th 2014

at Chapman Park, in Stanley, WI.  

There will be a craft show and flea market; 5k Race/Walk; car show/ bingo; cake walk; chicken dinner; children's games; food stand featuring deep-fried cheese curds and a licensed raffle.

Vietnam Veterans of America - Memorial Chapter #5  will be holding their CHICKEN FEED at the VFW Post 7232  (2900 W. Folsom St., in Eau Claire, WI) 

Saturday, August 2nd, 2014  from 2pm Until GONE ! !  

All you can eat    $8.00 donation - Children under 5 - free  

There will be Raffles, Silent Auctions, Door Prizes, Gun Raffles and a Bake Sale.

8/3 Celebration of Summer Church Picnic

St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Chippewa Falls is hosting a Celebration of Summer Church Picnic! Festivities will include a Chicken Plate, Steak Sandwiches, Beverages, Main Street Pie, Silent Auction, Beef Raffle, 50/50 Raffle, Coin Toss, Cake/Grocery Walk, and Kids Games. Music and dancing will be from 12:30 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. with live music from local talent.

There will also be a sweepstakes for $3,000 in cash prizes! Tickets for the sweepstakes will be $2 each or $3 for 5. The Raffle drawing will be held at 5 P.M.
