Airstaff: Helen Valois

Tuesday morning co-host

Helen Valois has been scuffling with liberals since her halcyon days at the College of William and Mary in Virginia, where she earned a B.A. in Psychology.  She also holds an M.A. in Theology from the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio.  She received her political education from Dick Gephardt of Missouri, a Democrat who was as pro-life as the day is long until he was elected to Congress and breathed the rarified air inside the Beltway.  Helen has worked with horses and dogs, taught school and homeschool, edited and indexed books, and done some traveling overseas.  She also recovered from the damage done to her vocal cords the morning the 1994 midterm election results were announced in time to become the Tuesday morning co-host of NewsTalk 790 Today on WAYY.
"A Godsend, Not A Disaster"

Byron York recently posted an interesting analysis of the effects of the Walker reforms so far.  He calls it, rather succinctly, "Collective Bargaining Begins to Pay Off."   It was posted at Townhall, com on July 12.

"It is impossible to overstate how bitter and ugly the Wisconsin fight has been, and that bitterness and ugliness continue to this day with efforts to recall senators and an unseemly battle in the state Supreme Court," he writes.

Walker recently told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal that the measure would gain acceptance 'with every day, week, and month that goes by' and the world doesn't fall apart.'  In the Kaukauna schools, the world is definitely not falling apart--it's getting better."

The problem for the liberal mindset is that there is such a thing as reality out there.  It actually is possible at ...

A caller this morning recognized that, despite her own subjective conflicts, I am nevertheless a human being.

If only liberals in general would do the same thing for unborn children.

Could Anyone Else?
Posted 7/18/2011 12:24:00 PM

The cover of the current issue of Newsweek quotes Governor Palin as saying:  "I Can Win."  Now, I personally have never been a proponent of the "Who Can Win?" theory of national politics; decades of conservatives asking this question, rather than the question, "What Will It Take To Stand on Principle?" has yielded increasingly insipid Republican candidates, and ultimately, an Obama presidency.  But if we want to address the horserace theory yet again, I happen to agree with Sarah.  In fact, no only could she win; the real question is, could anyone else?

So far, the only real objection that has been lodged against a possible Palin run is the fact that liberals like to laugh at her.  Sorry, guys, but you're going to have to do better than that.  In fact, if Governor Palin were to pick Marco Rubio as the other half of her ticket, you might ...
